Sick with daddy.

Today I woke up several times through the night then again at 4 with a fever :( mommy tried to rock me to sleep several times which worked only for a few minutes each time. Eventually mom had to go to work So she put me back in the crib and I slept the whole time that she got ready.

I woke up just after mom left and daddy brought me to their bed to cuddle and sleep for a while. I stayed there until 8 then we got up and ate breakfast. I ate a lot despite not feeling well and the fever. Daddy called mommy so she knew she could call the doctor to make the appointment. Daddy let me sit in his lap most of the morning. He eventually gave me tylenol which made me feel lots better! I was running around the room when mommy got home to take me to the doctor.

In the doctor's office they were showing movies about dogs so I kept waiving and woofing at them! They didn't respond though :( mommy gave me some pineapple which was supper yummy. The doctor checked me over but had to pull some of the wax out of my ear in order to see the drum. I didn't like that at all and I cried a lot :'( then she said that the drum was red and the tube was clogged. So we need drops and antibiotics. After that she wanted to check my throat just in case she stuck this wooden thingy in my mouth which made me vomit - I don't like vomiting. It took a while for me to stop and mom to get me calmed down. Thankfully that was the end of the visit and we were able to go home.

I fell asleep in the car so mommy put me right in my crib so I would sleep. and boy did I sleep! an hour and 45 min is a good nap for me. Then daddy took me out and all I wanted to do was be held. He did eventually get me to eat a snack and that is when mommy came home with my new jammies and medicine. The amoxicillin is supper yummy and I wanted more but they gave me water instead the tricksters! I only fell for it once... I didn't like the ear drops at all!

I was excited about the jammies. They thought the flannel ones would be too hot since I had a fever and we needed a new thermometer anyway. I was feeling well enough after mommy got home to play outside for a little while! though mostly I just wanted to be with mom or dad - I even took a bath with mom because I refused to get in with out her! (and boy did I need it!).

After the bath mom took me downstairs thinking that I would not be ready for bed but I showed her - I laid down on the living room floor. She scooped me up and brought me to bed and after a dose of Motrin and some eye drops I was sound asleep in 10 minutes!
